Try Prayer. It Works! 2011 Contest Winners Announced

The halls of the Pius XII Catholic Center in Paco, Manila once again was filled with the voices of children tagging along their parents and school principal as they come for the Awarding Ceremonies of the Annual Try Prayer. It Works! 2011 International Creative Contest.

With over a thousand entries coming from as far as the Diocese of Lingayen – Dagupan in Pangasinan, the parents and mentors of these students stood proud as each of the winners were called to receive their Cash Prize of P5,000.00, a medal and a certificate.  The sponsoring school received a Plaque of Appreciation in recognition of their efforts in nurturing the talents of its students.

The program also served as a platform to remind the students of the on-going prayer campaign dubbed, A Million Roses for the World.  Ms. Loudette Z. Banson was on hand to explain the mechanics and ended her talk by singing the theme song for the campaign.

The prizes, medals and certificate were awarded by HCFM President, Fr. John Phalen, CSC and assisted by Fr. James Phalan, CSC, Director for Family Rosary International, Fr. Passim Devadoss, CSC, Provincial Superior, Holy Cross Fathers – South India, Fr. Anol Terence D’Costa, CSC, Director, Family Rosary – Bangladesh, Fr.
